GOOD HABITS IN POOL CARE:

Daily:                 Run pool pump 8 hours per day for small pools and 16 hours per day for large or busy pools. (Half the time in winter)

Weekly:              Backwash filter for 5 minutes and rinse for 30 seconds.
                           Check and control pH at 6.8 – 7.2 with Pool Magic Acid.

Monthly:             Maintain ''Total Alkalinity'' at 80 to 120 ppm with Pool Magic Alkalinity increaser.
Seasonally:           Re-vitalise the filter with Pool Magic Filter Sand Cleaner.

HOW TO USE POOL MAGIC:

Use 400 g of Pool Magic to treat 40 000 – 60 000 litres of pool water. This treatment must be carried out every month. Note: If pool contains excess algae you must double the dose.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Backwash filter for 5 minutes and rinse for 30 seconds.
  • Check and adjust the pH level between 6.8 - 7.2.
  • Pour the contents into the skimmer/weir with the pump running on the normal ''filter'' cycle so that the Pool Magic gets sucked into the filter.
  • In summer, once a week pour a cup of chlorine into the skimmer/weir to maintain a residual chlorine level between 0.5 and 1 ppm or use a pool Magic ''Germ Defence'' floater to control bacteria.

WARNING:

Handle with care. Harmful if swallowed. Avoid skin and eye contact. Store away from food. Keep out of reach of children.

 PRECAUTIONS:

Overdosing with this product and or neglecting to keep the pH below 7.2 may lead to stubborn blue black stains. If stains occur, pour pool acid over the stained area to immediately remove stains. Pouring granular chlorine directly into the pool may cause black stains. If stains occur, simply treat by pouring pool acid over the stains. For other types of stains, use pool magic stain remover for fast easy results.

RECOMMENDATIONS IN CASE OF INTOXICATION OR ACCIDENT


Intoxication may cause:
Irritation to skin, eyes, respiratory duct, and gastrointestinal with greenish vomit and burning sensation in the mouth, oesophagus and stomach, abdominal pain and diarrhoea sometimes with blood.

  • Migraine, perspiration, weakness and shock.
  • Hepatomegalia  jaundice, hemolisis y metahemoglobinemia.
  • Albuminury, hemoglobinemia, sometimes kidney failure.

First aid:

  • Take the person away from the contaminated zone.
  • Take the contaminated clothes off.
  • Wash eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
  • Wash skin with plenty of water and soap without rubbing.
  • Do not give patient anything via the mouth.
  • Keep patient still .
  • In case of consumption via the mouth do not provoke vomiting.
  • Keep warm.
  • Check breathing. Mouth to mouth resuscitation if necessary.
  • If patient is unconscious put him on his side with head lower than the rest of his body and legs half bent.
  • Take the patient to hospital and whenever possible take with you the label or container.

NEVER LEAVE THE PATIENT ON HIS OWN.

Medical advice:

  • In case of consumption via the mouth do an esophagogastroscopy previous to a stomach wash.
  • Hidroelectrolitic and blood pressure test.
  • In case of severe metahemoglobinemia, give blue ethylene 1%
  • Treat for pain.
  • Antidote: EDTA, BAL o PENICILAMINE.
  • Treat symptoms.

IN CASE OF INTOXICATION, CALL THE EMERGENCY SERVICES.
